Study support and facilities

As a Brunel student, you’ll have access to a wide range of learning facilities including the library, dedicated quiet study areas and computer labs to name a few.

Library

The Brunel Library is at the heart of the campus. It holds a collection of approximately 400,000 books and an increasing collection of e-resources to support your studies here.

Computer Centre

You’ll have access to wi-fi across campus and in halls of residence, Microsoft Office, 24-hour PC labs and a network email account. The Computer Centre can help you with any internet connectivity issues, logging onto the intranet, resolving network issues or accessing your Brunel network account.

Student Centre

The Student Centre provides a range of administrative services and support to all students. The Student Centre should be your first port of call for any administrative enquiries including registration, finance, student letters, visa applications and much more.

ASK: Academic Skills service

The Academic Skills service specialises in teaching all Brunel students the skills needed to learn independently and thrive academically, whatever your level or subject.

Get a Headstart

If you’re getting ready to start university, Brunel Headstart helps to prepare you for studying in higher education. We'll give you an idea of what is expected of you at university, resources on independent learning and academic writing, as well as advice videos from Brunel academic staff and students.

Support for Care Leavers

We’re committed to providing support to young people in the care of a local authority who aspire to go to university. We offer advice and support on how to apply and, once you’re enrolled, give you every assistance to achieve your degree. This support also extends to young people with a background in other forms of care, who have been privately fostered or are estranged from their families.
